ABOUT ME

My name is Anna Bomber, and I have a graduate degree in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay (UWGB). I obtained my Certified Mental Performance Consultant ® (CMPC) from the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). AASP is a leading organization known for helping Olympic gold medalists and performing artists achieve their highest potential.

Since I was a young musician, dancer and athlete myself, I have had my fair share of performance issues, ranging from a lack of confidence, performance anxiety and motivational issues from time to time. I have personally used performance psychology in my own ways to help overcome these problems and to perform in the arts, and in physical activity. This is why I want to help others who struggle with performance to be their best and reach peak mental performance, whether that be on the stage or at the gym.

MY APPROACHES

Cognitive-behavioral

Cognitive-behavioral approaches focus on how what someone thinks can impact how they behave.

Collaborative environment

This style of work focuses on what both the consultant and athlete can bring to the table to conquer optimal performance.

Scientist-practitioner model

A scientist-practitioner model utilizes empirical research to influence applied practice and our sessions together.

Person-centered

A person-centered approach means focusing on the person as a whole, and integrating other parts of their life into making their performance great.
